As cliche as it sounds, I feel most at home on the water. So in 2004 I found my way to Idaho’s Middle Fork of the Salmon River as a class IV whitewater guide where I worked alongside some of the most enthusiastic and capable river folk out there, including my wife, Maggie. I was originally drawn to Bozeman by the unique and abundant trout population, and it still holds my interest after 16 years of guiding.
